The wind that misses you still blows to Wuxi.

2025.04.15

On the most beautiful April days, we set off facing the morning glow, driving along the road to enjoy the scenery. By 9:30, we arrived at the 【Three Kingdoms City】. From a distance, the “Central Radio and Television Station Wuxi Film and Television Base” stood prominently; the entire architectural complex of Three Kingdoms City is magnificent and grand. The scenic area is built by Taihu Lake, and there are more than 10 performances in the film and television city. We were lucky to catch the two most exciting shows.

The first performance was “The Three Heroes Fighting Lü Bu”: The audience seats were packed, and as soon as we sat down, the grand opening music played. The battle scenes unfolded, starting with Hua Xiong, who was defeated by Guan Yu in just one round. Then, Dong Zhuo sent Lü Bu onto the stage, who first fought Zhang Fei and then battled Guan Yu. Lü Bu was unstoppable, and when Liu Bei joined the battle, they fought Lü Bu together. After a fierce battle, Lü Bu finally couldn’t hold on and retreated. The entire performance was magnificent, and the powerful music created an atmosphere of ancient warfare, making the audience feel as if they were transported back in time.

After the show, we walked out of the performance venue and along the ancient Red Cliff Path to enjoy the beautiful views of Taihu Lake. The water fortress ships were lifelike, and everyone took the opportunity to take photos and leave memories.

After lunch, we headed to the modern garden peninsula on the northwest shore of Taihu Lake—Yuantouzhu Scenic Area. It is surrounded by water on three sides and occupies the most beautiful corner of Taihu Lake. Looking south, it has the grandeur of Qingdao’s seaside; looking north, it offers the bright and beautiful scenery of West Lake in Hangzhou. The poet Guo Moruo, after visiting Taihu Lake, praised it as “The most beautiful place in Taihu is undoubtedly Yuantouzhu.” We all entered the scenic area, strolling along the incredibly beautiful bamboo forest path and cherry blossom road, enjoying the scenery and leaving behind beautiful moments.

We then took a cruise to Yuantouzhu Island to experience the endless beauty of the “mountains are not high, yet elegant; the water is not deep, yet vast.” At the Xian Bridge, Yuantou Tower, and Taihu Immortal Island, we left our footprints everywhere. Lightly we came, and what we took away was the joy and gratitude in our hearts.

Under the most beautiful sunset glow, the day of team building at Wuxi Three Kingdoms City and Yuantouzhu’s Taihu scenery has come to a successful conclusion. We are joyful for what we saw and heard today; we are grateful for the care our boss has shown us as employees; we wish for a brighter future for Yida Yihe!
